Digits booth
AI-specialized accounting solutions provider Digits announced Digits Schedules, a new system that brings accrual accounting workflows into the ledger by detecting, generating and managing supporting schedules. The solution identifies transactions that require accrual accounting and drafts proposed schedules automatically. Schedules can be created directly from any transaction or source document. Every schedule surfaces with its proposed treatment. Accountants confirm, modify or dismiss before anything hits the books. Once finalized, recurring journal entries are created and managed automatically. Schedules, supporting documents and entries reside directly in the general ledger, not in spreadsheets or add-on tools. Digits Schedules launches with support for fixed assets and prepaid expenses, with revenue recognition and accrued expenses coming soon.

Billtrust launches payment portal, forecasting solution

Billtrust
AR solutions provider Biltrust announced the availability of new AI‑driven Buyer Payment Portal and Cash Forecasting capabilities, along with expanded payment controls and international payment options. Billtrust's new Buyer Payment Portal delivers a branded, self‑service experience where buyers can view invoices, manage balances, enroll in Autopay and make payments across multiple methods with a single checkout. Smart payment recommendations guide buyers on what to pay and when. Based on live supplier policies, the portal highlights opportunities for early‑pay discount capture, surcharge avoidance and optimal payment timing directly within the payment flow. Meanwhile, Cash Forecast, a new analytics capability, generates a self‑updating 13‑week AR cash forecast by ingesting Billtrust payment activity, invoicing data and a daily open AR balance file, for a view of receivables across all payment channels. An agentic alert layer monitors buyer‑level behavioral signals such as days‑to‑pay drift, autopay enrollment changes and payment modality shifts. When material changes occur, finance teams are shown which buyers are driving the variance along with the projected cash impact broken down by week. Beyond these two new features, Biltrust also introduced an autopay capability that allows AR teams to directly enroll specific buyers, lock enrollments and control which payment dates buyers can use. Suppliers can create and manage payment links and reusable pre‑payment templates directly. International payment modalities allow suppliers to accept additional local payment methods, while maintaining business rules, reconciliation and reporting.

Zip debuts AI agents for procure-to-pay cycle

Procurement
wladimir1804 - stock.adobe.com
Procurement solutions provider Zip announced AI Automation for Procure-to-Pay, a suite of AI agents that automate the accounting workflow from purchase request to payment. The agents match requests to the right budget, alert teams before it's fully consumed, and sync actuals to the ERP at close, so purchase order balance alerts catch overruns before a commitment is made, not during a reconciliation review. The AI also generates purchase orders and processes change orders within Zip's governed workflow, monitors incoming vendor mail, extracts invoices from attachments, and routes them automatically. The Invoice Coding Agent, meanwhile, codes agents across general ledger, department, and cost center using contract and purchase order context already in Zip, coding against the actual approved transaction instead of only relying on pattern matching against similar invoices. Zip's Invoice Review Agent compares each invoice against the vendor's historical patterns, flagging pricing changes, duplicate charges, and errors or misclassifications. The Contract Compliance Agent checks every invoice against underlying agreement terms before approval. Zip's Exception Automation AI places problem invoices on hold, routes them to the person with a specific task, and releases them when it's done. The Payment Risk AI runs risk rules on every invoice before it goes out the door, while bank account validation catches misdirected payments at the point of payment. Zip's Capitalization Agent classifies capital versus operating expenses and handles prepaid amortization. A Tax and VAT Agent handles multi-jurisdiction compliance configured to each company's own policies. Approved transactions sync with the accounting system.
