IRIS launches IRIS Firm Management

Accounting and payroll solutions provider IRIS Software Group announced the launch of its new IRIS Firm Management product. The new software offers capacities in time and billing management, client management, document management, workflow automation, reporting and analysis, secure data storage and collaboration tools. These solutions can be accessed via a streamlined user interface that also offers firm-wide data visibility. The product was developed in response to the multitude of legacy systems that require professionals to juggle multiple best-of-breed applications; IRIS hopes that, by offering a singular suite of solutions, they can help address this issue in accounting firms. 

Sage releases new Intacct features

Business management solutions provider Sage released new product updates in Sage Intacct for automation, insights, and compliance. The new updates support complex ownership structures like multilevel and subsidiary investments, the ability for firms to review resource utilization directly in Sage Intacct through access to operational key performance indicators, the availability of church management systems for ministries, access to 26 key control indicators plus finance operating model health check reviews via Sage's partnership with PwC, and enhanced 1099 e-filing capacities through Sage's partnership with TaxBandits. 

Liscio unveils new upgrades

Client communication portal provider for accountants Liscio announced new features centered around enhancing the client experience. Every client communication is now presented on a single page with data including emails, text messages, files, signatures, requests and more. There is also new integration with both Outlook and Gmail; a business texting feature that keeps communications inside the firm without revealing employees' personal phone numbers; customizable templates for client requests that can be saved as one-offs or for repeated use; and a new mobile web experience in addition to the mobile app experience already offered. 

CFO Project launches CFO Directory

The CFO Project, which provides training and resources to chief financial officers and other business finance professionals, announced the launch of the CFO Directory, a directory of certified CFOs available to help small-business owners. The members listed in the directory have all completed the CFO Project's Certified Chief Financial Officer program, which provides training on tracking profit and cash flow, business analytics and leadership.

Entrust launches new verified signing solution

Digital identity and data security solutions firm Entrust announced the launch of a new verified signing solution. Entrust Verified Signing integrates identity verification and identity and access management with digital signatures to identify and authenticate people on both sides of digital transactions. The Identified Signing capabilities can be integrated into an organization's existing business processes and workflows or be deployed as a turnkey electronic signature solution. It does so through using multiple sources, including public eID schemes, corporate identities, ID cards or passports and digital certificates issued by a trusted certificate authority or qualified trust service [rovider. The solution helps support compliance with state, country, and multi-national regulations such as the U.S. E-Sign act and EU eiDAS.

Integrations and partnerships

Commerce platform Spryker announced a new partnership with tax solutions provider Vertex. A custom Vertex app for the Spryker App Composition Platform has been built to provide integration with Vertex O Series On-Demand in Spryker project and configuration; automated tax determination before using customer delivery addresses; detailed tax reports in the Vertex dashboard displaying the Spryker Order Numbers as invoice numbers for the customer; and the ability to integrate with other financial systems (ERP, CRM, etc.) and add more data with the use of tax metadata. … CRM solutions provider Results Software has partnered with tax compliance automation provider Avalara. Results is now part of Avalara's "Certified for AvaTax" program; as a result of this partnership, Results clients can now choose Avalara's AvaTax to deliver sales tax calculations within Results in real time. … Intuit announced  a new strategic partnership with Allstate Health Solutions to soon provide QuickBooks Online Payroll customers with expanded insurance options for their employees, in time for open enrollment season. ... Zuora expanded its partnership with Avalara that will provide Zuora customers with access to Avalara E-Invoicing and Live Reporting. … Ramp, a spend management platform, announced a new integration with Microsoft Copilot. Now, accountants, finance admins, and employees at-large that work out of Microsoft Teams can interact with Ramp using only natural language, and the Ramp Copilot bot will return answers and take actions on their behalf. Ramp also announced new capacities such as AI that catches fraudulent and non-compliant behavior on behalf of finance teams, and auto-generation of receipts. … Accounting automation platform Docyt announced a strategic partnership with hotel management solution Scarlet Connect. With the addition of Scarlet Connect, Docyt now has the capability to retrieve and monitor guest sentiment data automatically.

Procure-to-pay platform Airbase announced the release of a generative AI-driven expense management module that provides users with a touchless expense report creation experience. Airbase uses generative AI and machine learning to automatically extract the details of each receipt, including generating the expense reason and details in the memo field.
