Rightworks releases Bookkeeper Solution focused on security and controls

Rightworks group
Accounting-focused cloud services and solutions provider Rightworks has released Bookkeeper Solution, a new product that is designed for firms that manage sensitive client financial data, work with contractors or offshore staff, and rely on multiple cloud accounting applications to serve clients. The bookkeeper solution offers a unified platform that brings together security, SaaS access and collaboration. The solution combines three layers: secure cloud workspace for running cloud accounting applications; managed Microsoft 365 for protected collaboration and communication; and built-in cybersecurity, including Rightworks Total Security and Cloud Protect, for controlling access across users, apps and devices. It eliminates password sharing through credential masking and centralized access, provides visibility into access for compliance and client trust, and enables one-click onboarding and offboarding for staff and contractors across systems.  It also provides an on-ramp for the broader Rightworks platform. As needs evolve, firms can expand into tax and desktop hosting with Cloud Premier, extend into secure outsourcing, and adopt Spark AI, Rightworks' accounting-focused AI.

Redacted
Accounting-specialised cloud hosting solutions provider Cetrom Information Technology, Inc. announced that beta enrollment is now open for Cetrom Sentinel, a firm-side redaction engine that detects and removes sensitive client data from AI prompts and connected data flows before they leave the firm's custody boundary. Enrollment is open exclusively to current Cetrom clients, with a limited first cohort. The solution operates as a protected data path hosted within Cetrom's secure datacenter environment, between the firm and its sanctioned enterprise AI platform. In preview, Sentinel is designed to detect sensitive entities in real time, including Social Security numbers, Employer Identification Numbers, account numbers, names, addresses and other client-identifying information, using recognition tuned for the data patterns of accounting and tax work. It will strip or tokenize sensitive values and forwards the cleaned request, so staff can keep working while client identities stay inside the firm's boundary;. It will keep raw client data within the firm's managed environment while the AI platform operates on curated, de-identified content; and create an audit trail so leadership and security owners have evidence of what the control did and when, in support of Written Information Security Plans, Federal Trade Commission safeguards and vendor due-diligence documentation.

Revenue and billing solutions provider m3ter announced "contract billing." Contracts become structured billing objects, modeled in m3ter with all terms intact, including pricing plans and rate cards, commitments, credits and balances, and billing schedules and rules to create a single source of truth for how each customer should be billed across every active agreement they hold. Usage is segmented and routed to specific contracts based on configurable attributes, filtered by dimensions on the usage record, such as a contract ID, service ID, product code or custom identifier with include/exclude rules configured per contract. Outputs flow automatically to ERP and beyond. Once calculated, billing data is synced to ERP for invoicing and revenue recognition, sent to CRM for sales and customer service visibility and is available for reporting, forecasting and audit. This creates a fully connected quote-to-cash system, without requiring enterprises to replace their existing stack. Contract Billing is now generally available to m3ter customers.
