Weiser Joins Mazars

New York-based Top 100 Firm Weiser LLP announced todaythat it has joined Mazars, an international group specializing in audit andadvisory services.

As a result, Weiser will become a Mazars member firm, andchange its name to WeiserMazars LLP. The deal will give Mazars member firmoffices in 56 countries, served by 12,500 professionals, including over 680partners.

Mazars and Weiser had previously worked together for 10years through a joint venture. "This combination is the result of ourexcellent relationship, our shared values and commitment to offeringhigh-quality services to our clients," said Patrick de Cambourg, chairmanand CEO of Mazars.

"Serving our clients means helping them onglobal level, beyond borders,"said Weiser chairman Douglas A. Phillips. "This is why we made the choiceto develop an international joint venture with Mazars in 2000. Today, we arehappy to develop our relationship with Mazars by fully joining the Mazarsintegrated partnership."

Weiser ranked No. 25 on Accounting Today's 2010 Top 100Firms list, with $120 million in 2009 revenue, 96 partners, and over 600 staff.
