Pleasanton, Calif. (July 9, 2003) -- Small and midsized business software makerAccpac International Inc. added a project and job costing module for all editions of its Advantage accounting system to manage estimates, track progress, and control costs and billing.

The new component was also designed to improve quote speed and accuracy, determine which jobs are profitable, and better manage resources across all projects.

In addition, the project and job costing unit offers key customer features including: estimating capabilities, complete contract management, flexible billing management, the ability to review the current state of each project through centralized inquiry capabilities, and timecard processing.

As it is part of the Accpac Advantage product line, the new module can be used on either Linux or Microsoft Windows operating systems, over the Web, and a variety of databases.

The new module is available through Accpac’s channel partners starting at $2,000.
