Acumatica Launches Content Pack for Power BI

Acumatica launched its content pack for Power BI, enabling the cloud ERP provider’s customers to use Microsoft's cloud-hosted data visualization and business intelligence service.

Officially launched Tuesday at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, the content pack gives users access to Acumatica’s cloud ERP platform and database to leverage better data insights. Acumatica first showcased its integration into Power BI using the OData interface at the Microsoft Build conference in April.

“It’s exhilarating to see our investments and hard work pay off with this release,” stated Ajoy Krishnamoorthy, Acumatica’s general manager of Cloud xRP Platform. “We collaborated closely with the Power BI team to deliver a solution that gives control back to businesses, in a way that is powerful yet user-friendly.”

Acumatica CEO Jon Roskill and James Phillips, corporate vice president of Microsoft’s business intelligence products group, demoed the content pack at WPC.

“Microsoft’s support was crucial in helping us deliver this groundbreaking solution for our customers and partners,” stated Roskill. “Power BI adds a powerful new dimension to our Cloud ERP product, giving real-time data and insights that legacy systems struggle to provide. And when we say we will deliver, we deliver. And this content pack for Power BI is proof of our competitive advantage.”

Power BI, a visual data exploration and interactive reporting tool with live dashboards and shareable insights, will be generally available July 24.

“I’m excited to be on stage with Acumatica at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference to show our partners the Acumatica Power BI content pack,” stated Phillips. “Now Acumatica customers can use Power BI to analyze and visualize their ERP data in minutes with pre-built live dashboards and reports.”
