ADP has expanded its sales and use tax calculation and outsourced return-filing service to interface with other tax collection systems.

With the ADP Sales and Use Tax Outsourced Returns Solution, businesses can maintain their existing sales and use tax configuration, tax calculation and tax collection processes while using the ADP system for monthly tax filing.

Businesses can transmit data files from any of their existing accounting systems, and ADP will prepare and file the tax returns and remit the funds to more than 13,000 state and local governments nationwide.

ADP studies show that midsized companies that manage sales and use tax in-house spend on average $81,000 each year on penalties and interest, while businesses that outsource sales and use tax returns only pay on average $45,000 annually in penalties and interest.
