ADP, First Data Partner for Payroll Outsourcing

Payroll and benefits provider ADP Small Business Services has signed a marketing agreement with electronic commerce company First Data Corp. to offer ADP's EasyPaySM payroll solution to companies with less than 50 employees.

First Data's merchant channels can now offer EasyPay and related small business offerings along with First Data's check, credit, debit, and gift card acceptance programs. EasyPay is a fully outsourced service for payroll processing by phone, fax, or over the Internet.

"With more than 500,000 new small businesses launching every year, ADP's relationship with First Data helps to expand our reach in this marketplace," said ADP Small Business Services president Alan Sheiness, in a statement. "Small business owners will now have one more convenient way to access our offerings."

First Data will also market ADP's TotalPay product suite -- which includes money movement, fraud protection and check reconciliation features -- as well as Total Tax CompleteSM, a set of compliance services including tax filing, state unemployment insurance management, new hire reporting and human resources helpdesk services.

The sales outreach will initially be made in targeted territories with plans for a nationwide rollout later this year. This program will be available to all First Data bank alliance partners and independent sales organizations to participate, providing there is not an existing relationship with ADP.
