Under the agreement, AICPA FVS Section members will get a discount to purchase the business valuation system at the a la carte price of $299 per valuation. FVS members are also eligible for a 20 percent discount off the regular price when purchasing the platform’s bundled packages.

“We’re pleased to partner with the AICPA and further expand Sageworks’ position as the leading Web-based commercial grade business valuation solution,” said Sageworks CEO Scott Ogle in a statement. “The discount we’re providing is a great deal for AICPA members to pay-per-valuation, and offer clear-cut and compliant business valuations to their clients.”

With as many as 75 percent of privately held businesses expected to be put up for sale in the next decade, according to the AICPA, valuation services are expected to continue to be a growth opportunity for CPAs. Sageworks Valuation Solution helps CPA and valuation firms determine an accurate, defensible value for private companies. The software generates valuations in compliance with AICPA valuation standards and allows users to employ three different valuation approaches.

“We believe that Sageworks Valuation Solution will provide tremendous benefit to our FVS Section members,” said Eddy Parker, associate director of Forensic and Valuation Services at the AICPA.
