Amper Shuffles Leadership Team

Accounting firm Amper, Politziner & Mattia has reorganized its leadership team, appointing a new chairman, CEO and COO.

Phil Politziner (pictured), one of the founders of the firm and the former president and CEO, has been named chairman. Succeeding him as the new president and CEO is Howard Cohen, who was formerly partner-in-charge of the firm's Edison, N.J., office. David Politziner, Phil Politziner's brother, has been named as the new chief operating officer. He has been director of Amper's litigation and valuation services group and was formerly partner-in-charge of Amper's Bridgewater, N.J., office.

Gerard Abbattista, who has been with the firm for over 25 years, will take over Cohen's position as partner-in-charge of the Edison office. Jack Nahama, a partner who has been with the firm for over 30 years, will take over David Politziner's position as partner-in-charge of the Bridgewater office.

"The firm is experiencing a tremendous period of growth and opportunity," said Phil Politziner in a statement. "Howard and David have the keen business sense and dedication needed to guide Amper's success both now and into the future."
