App of the Week: Feedly

As much as we love all the great stuff that's available on the Internet, we would love it even more if we didn't have to go to all the individual sites where it lives. We would much prefer if someone would go out and gather it all and bring it back to us.

Oh, and it would be good if it would all be viewable on whatever of our many devices we choose to view it on.

That, in a nutshell, is what Feedly does. Much like the late, lamented Google Reader, it's an RSS feed aggregator, gathering content from all of your favorite news sites, feeds, tumblr blogs and YouTube channels and transforming it into little cards that are optimized for viewing on your iOS or Android device and that you can quickly and easily browse through.

It's particularly popular for its ease of use, and for its integration with social media, so it's simple to tweet or share stories you like.
