App of the Week: Zoom Cloud Meetings

At some point, wireless technology and the cloud will reach the point at which you no longer need to have meetings -- you'll be seamlessly integrated with all your colleagues, coworkers, clients, customers and the rest of the world in a sort of hive mind. Until, then, though, tools like Zoom Cloud Meetings are filling the gap.

The mobile meetings app lets you invite people to join a video conference, with integrated group messaging so you can share screens and files. It's available for both Android devices and iPhones and iPads; with the Apple devices you can also annotate shared screens, and real-time whiteboard collaboration is available for iPads.

One of the nicer features is that users with different devices can all join the same meeting. And did we mention that it's free for meetings under 40 minutes with up to 25 people? After that, fairly reasonable tiered pricing kicks in.
