Avalara has simplified the user interface and security features for CertCapture, and has added new graphical reporting capabilities.
CertCapture stores tax compliance documents in a central cloud repository where managers can pull reports and manage expirations and renewals.
The simplified user interface was designed with the feedback of one of Avalara’s customers, a big box home improvement retailer. This, together with a new single sign-on capability, is hoped to enable CertCapture to be used more easily across a broader group of employees. Single sign-on also reduces security risk across a broad, heterogeneous employee base. The new graphical reporting is designed to let managers be more proactive about their document management processes.
“Commerce happens in real-time and we want to empower clients to manage more of their tax compliance in real-time,” said Matt Tormollen, executive vice president and general manager at Avalara, in a statement. “CertCapture’s new features simplify the ever-increasing burden of tax compliance while enabling customers to run their businesses more efficiently and with the highest level of security.”
