Cloud-based sales tax and compliance automation technology provider Avalara has formed a strategic alliance with the Illinois CPA Society.
The ICPAS’s more than 23,000 professional members will now have free access to up-to-date sales and use tax and value added tax tools and resources. Member accounting firms will also have the opportunity to participate in Avalara partnering programs.
“Alliances with key software solution providers like Avalara are especially important to our CPA members, both in public practice and in business and industry, who need more information in technical areas such as sales and use tax reporting and compliance,” stated Todd Shapiro, ICPAS president and CEO. “We also believe that Avalara’s cloud-based, software-as-a-service (SaaS) business model, will help our members become even more efficient and productive in dealing with their clients and customers in the future.”
