BDO Adds Member Firm in Mexico

BDO has added a new member firm in Mexico, Castillo Miranda, formerly a Crowe Horwath member firm.

BDO is the world’s fifth largest network of independent public accounting firms. Castillo Miranda joined the network, effective January 1. The firm has approximately 320 partners and staff working from offices located in Mexico City, Aguascalientes, Guadalajara and Monterrey.

Castillo Miranda also has eight associated offices in Cancun, Hermosillo, Ciudad Juarez, Merida, Puerto Penasco, Queretaro, Mexicali and Tijuana. Beyond traditional audit and tax services, the firm also has a focus on tourism and leisure consulting.

“I am very pleased to welcome this well-respected firm to BDO, in a continuation of our strategy to invest in the development of our network’s capabilities,” said BDO International Limited CEO Jeremy Newman in a statement. “Our Latin American region posted significant growth last year, and the addition of Castillo Miranda can only help to enhance this level of progress. I have no doubt that BDO Mexico will work effectively with the other firms in North, Central and Latin America to deliver the best possible professional advice to clients across the continent and globally.”
