Bernanke to Report on Economy

Incoming Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke is scheduled to deliver his report to Congress on the state of nation's economy on February 15.

The Federal Reserve chairman gives his economic report before the House Financial Services Committee twice a year.

Bernanke, a former member of the Fed and current chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, will succeed the retiring Alan Greenspan. Greenspan will step down January 31 after an 18-year tenure.Bernanke's nomination will go before the full Senate late this month.
