Bill.com Adds Product Enhancements

Online accounts payable and receivable service Bill.com unveiled several product enhancements Monday, including new electronic billing and invoicing functionality, along with improved user interface features.

With Bill.com’s new eBill functionality, when both payer and payee use the Bill.com platform, eInvoices can be generated by the issuing party using Bill.com or a preferred accounting software package—even if the payer and payee are on different systems. The invoices instantly convert into eBills—along with any supporting data or attachments required—in the payer’s system, ready for review, acceptance, approvals and payment.

“As businesses of all sizes seek to gain efficiency in their financial processes, we aimed to provide a product that meets the needs of businesses where they are today and makes the transition to online bill payment and management a seamless one,” said Bill.com chief executive Rene Lacerte. “Bill.com is providing a way for our customers to help their vendors participate with a low learning curve and a free portal to ease the friction of adoption.”

Bill.com is also introducing a number of user interface updates to enhance the overall look and feel and make the system easier to use, including improved navigation, a console, and better access to customer lists and profile information.
