BKD merges in Loeb & Troper
BKD LLP is adding Loeb & Troper LLP, effective July 15, allowing the Springfield, Missouri-based Top 100 Firm to expand in New York.
Loeb & Troper specializes in audit and consulting services for health care, managed care, special needs, nonprofit and education organizations. Its staff will remain in their current office in Midtown Manhattan, and the office will be led by BKD partner Ryan Reiff.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. BKD has 38 offices in 17 states, and its fiscal year 2018 revenues were approximately $600 million; it ranked No. 13 on Accounting Today’s 2018 list of the Top 100 Firms. BKD is also a member of Praxity, a global alliance of independent firms.
“We want to extend a warm welcome to our new BKD team members,” said BKD CEO Ted Dickman in a statement. “Loeb & Troper’s commitment to client service will help us achieve our mutual goals as we move forward. In addition, their location in New York City — America’s financial capital — gives us greater access as a firm to key areas of our strategic growth, such as the private equity and capital markets.”
Loeb & Troper has approximately 15 partners and 100 total personnel. They will be joining BKD’s approximately 280 partners and 2,650 total personnel.
“Loeb & Troper is thrilled to be joining BKD and serve as the firm’s New York office,” said executive director Jesse Frommer in a statement. “BKD’s national presence in our niche industries, coupled with our extensive expertise in the New York market, will permit us to bring significant value to our clients and enhanced career opportunities for our staff.”
