BKD Merges in Peterson, Peterson & Goss

Peterson, Peterson & Goss, LC, a CPA and advisory firm in Wichita, Kan., will join the regional CPA firm BKD LLP, effective Dec. 1, 2015.

Founded in 1950, PP&G offers a variety of services, including business management and financial planning.  PP&G’s staff of 13, including PP&G managing partner Greg Sevier and partner John Goss, are joining BKD as part of the deal. The PP&G staff will relocate from its offices to BKD’s Wichita office, which currently has 55 BKD tax, audit and consulting professionals and support staff. Once the acquisition is finalized, BKD will expand its market presence in South Central Kansas by adding roughly 1,500 clients served by PP&G.

“BKD and PP&G are a natural fit,” said Bill Pickert, managing partner of BKD’s Wichita office, in a statement. “BKD’s culture of unmatched client service melds well with PP&G’s philosophy of offering practical business solutions with deep expertise and personal attention. In addition, both firms are committed to providing rewarding career opportunities for their associates as well as contributing time and resources to the Wichita community.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. BKD, based in Springfield, Mo., ranked 13th on Accounting Today’s 2015 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $445.8 million in annual revenue.

BKD services a number of industries and niches, including wealth management, private equity, corporate finance, business transition, international business, forensics, valuation and technology. PP&G serves many of the same industries as BKD, including health care, manufacturing, construction, energy, agriculture franchises and financial services.

“This is going to have huge benefits for PP&G, BKD and our clients,” said Sevier. “Our combined expertise and resources will take us to new heights of service for an increasingly complex mix of clients.”
