Blue & Co. LLC will acquire a 20-person accounting firm based in Columbus, Ohio.Blue’s deal to acquire Sheridan Barton Vasko & Co., which will operate under the Blue & Co. name, is expected to be completed June 1. Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.
The plan is to add Sheridan’s employees to its existing Westerville, Ohio, office, which is located about 20 minutes north of Columbus.
Blue employs 165 people at seven offices in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. The firm has focused on providing consulting services for the nonprofit, construction, manufacturing and distribution industries. With the addition of Sheridan Barton, it will gain expertise in providing services to medical and legal companies.
