Bonadio Group and Stulmaker, Kohn & Richardson Agree to Merge

The Bonadio Group and Stulmaker, Kohn & Richardson have finalized an arrangement to merge and will operate under the Bonadio name beginning December 1.

The merger will give the Bonadio Group seven employees, which includes two partners, bringing the Albany office up to 62 employees and 490 across all of the firm’s offices.

Bonadio's new partners are Edward Knapp, who started his career at SKR and was named partner in 1995. His areas of specialty include small business advisory services, professional practices, and nonprofit organizations.

Timothy Pierce, the second partner from SKR, specializes in accounting for real estate development and rental, the hospitality industry, and nonprofit organizations. Pierce also made partner at SKR in 1995. He has served in volunteer leadership roles for the Albany-Colonies Regional Chamber of Commerce and St. Paul’s Center, a homeless shelter in Rensselaer, among others. He is a graduate of Siena College and a resident of Glenmont.

“We are very much looking forward to welcoming SKR’s people, clients, and friends to our firm,” said Tom Bonadio, CEO and managing partner of The Bonadio Group. “Many of our Albany team members worked with SKR’s people before coming to our firm, so this merger is a fortunate reunion. Our growth together is a direct reflection of our optimism for the future of the Capital Region.”
