Bonadio Group to merge in NYC firm

Top 50 Firm The Bonadio Group announced that it will be merging in New York City-based Ganer + Ganer, effective Nov. 1, 2021.

The combination will expand Bonadio’s physical footprint in New York, and add 21 employees.

G+G was founded in 1974, and focuses on tax prep, financial statements, business management and consulting services.

“This merger fuels our ambitious growth strategy in alignment with our strategic five-year plan,” said Bonadio CEO Bruce Zicari, in a statement. “The finance and accounting expertise of the Ganer + Ganer team will be hugely beneficial to our firm, and we’re extremely excited to expand our New York Metro presence to continue offering the best-in-class professional services to all of our clients.”

In an email announcing the combination to staff and clients, Zicari noted that the firms had been in discussions for the past year.

“The Ganer + Ganer team is looking forward to our next steps with The Bonadio Group,” said G+G partner Maxine Ganer, in a statement. “We are confident that this partnership will only enhance our offerings and the quality of practice for our clientele.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Upstate New York-based Bonadio, which ranked No. 46 on Accounting Today’s Top 100 Firms list with $126 million in revenue, has 103 partners and over 850 employees.
