Botkeeper Infinite replaces outsourcing with more AI

Accounting software provider Botkeeper announced the release of its new Botkeeper Infinite solution, which provides firms options for automated bookkeeping and back-office accounting without the need for outsourcing.  The new "tech only" option allows firms to administer the Botkeeper Infinite platform themselves for low-complexity clients their team can handle, as well as add other services.

"The Botkeeper Infinite technology is all about adapting to the ever-evolving needs of accounting firms and their business clients and ensuring they always receive the best-suited solutions," says Enrico Palmerino, CEO of Botkeeper. "Firms will see a massive reduction of human error, superior reporting, as well as real-time data entry available 24/7. Firms can easily onboard and deploy a new client in a matter of minutes and will find they can reduce their bookkeeping costs by 30-50%."

Botkeeper Infinite is built on AutoPush, its AI and machine learning technology. The model has been trained on tens of thousands of financial transactions and continues to learn categorizations particular to each individual business over time, giving it the capacity to improve itself. This AI is what allows Botkeeper Infinite to automate routine accounting and bookkeeping tasks without the need for outsourcing.

The evolved platform maintains Botkeeper's current modules — such as those for task and project tracking, directly connecting with financial institutions, insight dashboards, and password storage — and introduces a new Activity Hub module which provides a centralized space within the platform for all comments, feedback, and interactions, as well as a new Bot Review module, which automates searching through the general ledger to find variances and exceptions. Botkeeper also plans to soon add new modules to automate reconciliations, provide plain English financial analysis for advisory, and automate amortization schedules and loans in real time, syncing directly with the general ledger.

Botkeeper Infinite's launch comes following a beta test in late 2023 and early 2024 with 99 different firms. The solution's current capacities reflect the feedback and input given to them by professionals both in the test and before, through customer engagement, especially the ability to implement Botkeeper's technology without having to use outsourcing, according to a Botkeeper spokesperson.

"We've been listening to what the small to mid-size firms were saying to us in 2023, that they weren't looking for a tech solution with outsourcing attached. The firm wanted to be able to manage the technology within their own team," she said.

The spokesperson added that the technology plus team approach had always been available for firms of all sizes, though the company had focused more on Top 500 firms last year, as these had seemed a better fit for outsourcing. Botkeeper Infinite allows for a pure AI-driven solution that can be managed by all sizes of firms without the "team" component originally offered. They gave the solution a different name to define that it truly is tech-only.
