Burgum Assumes New Role at MBS

Doug Burgum, senior vice president of the Microsoft Business Solutions business group, will assume the newly created role of chairman of MBS just in time for the release cycle of Microsoft Dynamics, the new branding for MBS.

After 23 years of performing the same duties at MBS, Burgum decided it was time for a change. His new position will allow him to focus on promoting Microsoft solutions to business decision makers, and work more deeply with industry influencers, MBS prospects, customers, partners and independent software vendors alike.

In his new position, Burgum will continue to report to Jeff Raikes, president of MBS, and partner with Raikes in the search for a new MBS senior vice president. During the interim, Burgum will continue to lead the MBS division.

Orlando Ayala will remain in his position as chief operating officer of MBS and senior vice president of the Worldwide Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners Group, as will all other MBS senior leadership roles.
