CPA-owned liability insurance carrier Camico Mutual Insurance Co. appointed Christopher Piety as director of claims. In that capacity, he is responsible for managing the claims department's daily operation and Camico's staff of claims specialists. Prior to joining Camico, Piety was a partner with the Los Angeles-area law firm of Garrett & Tully, where he defended CPAs and other professionals in malpractice claims in both trial and appellate courts at the state and federal levels. Piety also served as a professional liability claims specialist at Camico, and was responsible for investigating, evaluating and resolving professional liability claims against accountants.
