Capstone Accounting and Tax, based in Bend, Oregon, acquired North Star Tax & Accounting, based in Snohomish and Lynden, Washington, expanding Capstone's presence in the Pacific Northwest.
North Star will integrate its operations under the Capstone brand, while continuing to offer its local client services. Capstone has 13 offices in the Pacific Northwest and Mountain regions.

Capstone is a full-service accounting firm providing tax, accounting and advisory services to businesses and individuals. Founded in 2008, North Star offers a full suite of tax and accounting services, including tax planning and preparation, CAS, assurance services, and more.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but North Star leaders David Romano and Sheena Frenzel will continue their practices as partners within Capstone.
