Accounting firm Elliott Davis LLC has acquired the Galax, Va.-based practice of Larrowe and Co. PLC.Financial terms of the deal, which became effective Nov. 17, were not disclosed.
Larrowe serves clients primarily over a three-state area, with a substantial portion of its clientele based in North Carolina and Virginia. Formed in 1993, the consulting firm employs a staff of 26 and offers assurance and advisory, tax, consulting and information technology services. The firm is probably best known for its community banking practice and had been Elliott Davis’ biggest competitor in serving the North Carolina and Virginia banking market.
Elliott Davis said that the addition of Larrowe’s shareholders and senior management will almost double the number of top-level professionals it has available to serve those banking clients.
Elliott Davis banking group shareholder and chairman Jason Caskey said that the deal would be a major step in achieving the firm’s goal of having the largest community banking practice in the southeast. The firm is a member of the Leading Edge Alliance, a worldwide network of 280 offices in 50 countries. Its affiliates include Elliott Davis Technology Solutions LLC and Elliott Davis Wealth Management LLC.
