Caseware announces new executives as part of leadership evolution

Accounting and auditing analytics company Caseware announced the appointment of a new chief revenue officer, Jason Rushforth, as well as a new chief financial officer, Chris Nagy, who will also serve as chief operating officer. Both of them were officially brought on yesterday.

Nagy, as CFO and COO, will play a dual role overseeing both financial operations and operational excellence. Previously, was chief financial officer at Salesloft, a sales engagement platform. Prior to that, he held senior leadership positions at IPC Systems, Forsta and Focus Vision. Rushforth, meanwhile, will be driving Caseware's next phase of revenue growth and market expansion as part of the executive leadership team. Prior to this he was chief revenue officer at Billtrust. He's also worked at SugarCRM, Oracle, Eloqua and Infor.

They are the latest additions to an evolving leadership team that emphasizes expertise in SaaS, artificial intelligence and accounting technology, with Caseware having previously announced the appointment of Mike Jahoda, chief customer success officer, in June; Ericka Podesta McCoy, chief marketing officer, who joined in May; Andrew Smith, chief product officer, who was brought on in February; and David Marquis, chief executive officer, who was appointed in January

These leaders join existing members of the executive leadership team at Caseware — Sam High, chief technology officer, who joined Caseware in November 2024, and Kate Muller, chief people officer, who joined in March 2022.

Marquis, the CEO, said the company has been intentional in building out its new leadership team over the past year. He said that reflects both strength and expansion via a shared focus on innovation, execution and customer impact.

"This is about building for the future and evolving our leadership to match the scale and complexity of where we're headed, particularly in the era of AI," said Marquis. "This is a time of great potential. Caseware is positioned for its next chapter of innovation and impact, and our platform and people are aligned to our vision to power trust in the global economy,"
