CCH Charts Third World Taxes

CCH has introduced an online product that provides tax research and compliance information for doing business in emerging markets around the world.

Worldwide Tax Rates and Answers: Emerging Markets offers individual national and local tax rates for 12 countries: China, India, Mexico, Russia, Brazil, South Africa, Israel, Argentina, Taiwan, Chile, Vietnam and South Korea. The product includes tax forms and instructions in English and up-to-date answers to questions about preparing taxes in these countries.

The product also keeps track of legislation abroad to predict future tax rates. Users can add BNA International content to supplement their research.

World Tax Rates uses CCH's Smart Chart technology to provide access to tax rates and questions. Questions and answers cover subjects such as corporate income tax, transfer pricing, withholding tax, value-added taxes, business formation, capital gains, and currency, along with the relevant citations. Users also get access to local tax professionals via e-mail and phone if they have further questions.

A one-year, single-user subscription costs $2,249. BNA International portfolios cost an extra $1,000. For more information, go to www.cchgroup.com/wtraem.

In other CCH news, the company has introduced Sales Tax Office, part of its CorpSystem line. The software automates the calculation of sales and use taxes. The base system includes an all-states subscription to general merchandise data, a subscription update manager utility, and Web service application programming interfaces to integrate with a user's accounting system, along with CCH's Sales Tax Returns Online service.

Optional modules include add-on databases covering food, restaurant and durable medical equipment; a Web service API to Microsoft Dynamics AX; and a Web service API for integrating with third-party commercial address validation and address-scrubbing systems.
