CCH Debuts Podcast Center

CCH introduced a CPE Podcast Center with downloadable audio files that accountants can listen to on their iPods to earn continuing professional education credits.

The podcasts are free, but to get certification, users need to pay a testing fee to purchase an exam. The podcasts are available for download to a PC, iPod or other MP3 player. Users can also listen to the podcasts as streaming audio from the Web site.

The courses cover recent developments and issues in the tax and accounting profession, such as education tax incentives, Roth IRAs and 401(k)s, and the use of a home for tax savings.

The site includes links to outlines and course material from CCH publications and research services such as the Standard Federal Tax Reporter, Tax Research Consultant, and the Federal Tax Guide. Subscribers to CCH's Tax Research NetWork also get direct links from the outlines to citations and court cases. For more information, visit www.CCHPodcast.com.
