CCH has begun offering batch processing for its Tax Zone Locator and other products on the CCH Tax Research NetWork.
The batch-processing option allows users to identify money-saving tax credits and incentives for clients. Subscribers with a large number of individual and business addresses can upload a Microsoft Excel file containing the addresses, and CCH will produce summary and detail reports in three business days or less showing all the major federal and state location-based incentives and credits for which the addresses qualify.
The batch reports, in both HTML and Excel, and batch-processing cost an extra fee on top of the regular subscription fees for the Tax Zone Locator and the CCH Tax Research NetWork.
The Tax Zone Locator is a collaboration between CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business, and the National Tax Credit Group, a consulting firm. The service provides detailed information on federal location-based tax incentives zones such as empowerment zones, renewal communities and Indian tribal land, as well as state enterprise zones for both pre-qualification and non-pre-qualification states.
The Tax Zone Locator also offers a zone forms and instructions library and a zone coordinator contact database. Coverage includes location-based hiring credits, sales and use tax credits and exemptions, property tax credits and incentives, income and franchise tax credits, and investment credits.
