CCH Small Firm Services Releases New Paperless Product

CCH Small Firm Services has released PaperlessPLUS, a product developed to help tax and accounting professionals to save and store emails, spreadsheets, memos and other documents as PDF files in a client’s electronic folder.

PaperlessPLUS replaces the company’s Document Manager and Scan & Fill products and includes password protection to safely secure important data, along with folder-locking options that restrict access to any function and preserve document integrity.

The product also features scheduled automatic backups, a streamlined interface that lets users open any document with a few clicks, and electronic signature capabilities enabling clients to sign documents electronically using e-signature pads.

A premium version of the software—PaperlessPLUS Premier—includes Premier Scan, which identifies scanned documents, arranges similar documents together, and creates PDF files with bookmarks.
PaperlessPLUS and Premier integrate with the company’s ATX and TaxWise software, allowing tax preparers to export W-2 and 1099 data directly to their clients’ tax returns. PaperlessPLUS is included with the TaxWise Power Accounting and TaxWise Complete Tax & Accounting software packages.

“Our customers are increasingly embracing the paperless office, and saving hundreds if not thousands of dollars each year by doing so,” said CCH SFS director of product management Dave Olsen. “PaperlessPLUS makes operating in a paperless world easier at the time of transition and from that point forward.”
