Regional accounting firm Cherry, Bekaert & Holland has acquired Massey + Pittman, giving the firm a larger presence in the Atlanta area and expanding its real estate and construction industry group.
Richmond, Va.-based CB&H added eight professionals, including two partners, to its firm from M+P. The deal brings M+P's more than 600 clients to CB&H.
M+P focuses on tax planning and reporting, as well as real estate consulting, M&A advisory services, tax structuring, and project management for real estate developers and investors.
M+P made about $1.5 million in revenue last year, while CB&H earned about $85 million in its current fiscal year, according to spokesperson August Keller. The acquisition was effective Jan. 1. CB&H has offices in Atlanta, Charlotte, Hampton Roads, Raleigh, Richmond, Tampa and Washington, D.C.
