Main Street Solutions has introduced ClientLink Pro, cloud-based software that allows accountants and tax professionals to share documents and collaborate with clients.

ClientLink Pro  includes document management, file-sharing tools, and custom client portals that enable clients to store their own personal documents. Online file collaboration features allow tax and accounting professionals to review documents online while conferring by phone or live chat. The software also provides online digital signatures, automatic notification of document changes and other features.

ClientLink Pro is being offered by Main Street Solutions, a company formed by several former executives of CCH Small Firm Services who have been offering tax and accounting software to small CPA firms.

“Professionals can save thousands of dollars in printing, copying, mailing and filing costs, not to mention the time trying to connect with clients to confer or finalize documents,” said Main Street Financial Services president Tom Hughes in a statement. “Even with e-mail, sending a document to a client still requires the recipient to print it, mark changes, scan it and e-mail it back. With ClientLink Pro, clients can review and make changes in that document online before signing it using legally recognized third-party signature verification.”

When clients need a copy of an archived document—for example a back tax return—they can retrieve it themselves. Clients can also use the same portals for secure storage of their own important documents. The program integrates with Microsoft Office and also works with Adobe PDF files.
