Clifton Gunderson Acquires Colorado Firm

Clifton Gunderson LLP has acquired the Colorado firm of  Levine, Hughes & Mithuen in a merger effective Nov. 1.
 
The deal will bring Clifton Gunderson's total personnel in Colorado to 175, including partners, consultants and staff in four offices. All current LHM personnel will join Clifton Gunderson current office in Denver. A total of six LHM shareholders -- including president and managing shareholder John Hughes and co-founder Steve Mithuen -- will join Clifton Gunderson as partners.

Clifton Gunderson chief executive Carl George said that his firm will continue to look to expand in the Colorado market.

LHM  provides accounting, tax and consulting services for businesses and high net-worth individuals along the Colorado Front Range. Clifton Gunderson has offices in 15 states and Washington. The firm ranked No. 16 on Accounting Today's 2006 list of Top 100 Firms, with revenues of $174 million.
