CliftonLarsonAllen adds Main Amundson

Las Vegas firm Main Amundson and Associates, CPAs, is joining CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, effective Jan. 1, 2017.

The deal with Main Amundson is the latest in a string of mergers for CLA. On Tuesday, Minneapolis-based CLA announced a combination with Mack, Roberts & Company in Portland, Oregon, which also took effect in the New Year (see CliftonLarsonAllen merges in Mack Roberts). Previously announced deals taking effect in January were with another top firm, Gallina LLP, in Roseville, Calif., along with the Bosma Group in Reno, Nevada.

Other deals last year included CPWR in Dallas, Bray & Company CPA in Milwaukee, Adams Martin & Associates in Raleigh, N.C., and Tsakopulos Brown Schott & Anchors in San Antonio, Texas. CLA ranked 9th on Accounting Today’s 2016 list of the Top 100 firms, with $650 million in annual revenue, plus another $49.8 million from 76th ranked Gallina.

Main Amundson dates back to 1983 and provides services such as tax preparation and planning, bookkeeping, auditing, accounting software selection, financial planning, estate and trust planning, litigation support, and business forecasting. CLA plans to keep the firm in its current Las Vegas office.

“From the start, we recognized that to help our clients succeed we needed to offer not only sound financial advice but sound business advice,” said founding partner James Main in a statement. “Joining CLA enables us to continue building relevant capabilities to help our clients at each step of their journey.”
