Cogen Sklar LLP announced today that it has become an independent member of Morison International, a network of accounting firms, lawyers and business advisors. As a result of the new affiliation, Cogen Sklar will change its name to Morison Cogen LLP.
Established in 1949, Cogen Sklar expects the Morison affiliation to broaden the scope of services, expertise and contacts available to Cogen Sklar and its clients.
"Offering our clients the deepest resources possible has always been one of our primary goals," said Cogen chairman Harvey Grossman, in a statement. "Our affiliation will enable us to enhance our service offerings on many levels, including international tax planning and compliance, as well as accounting and auditing services globally."The firm, headquartered in Philadelphia, offers a range of audit and tax services. Grossman said that the firm selected Morison because of the professionalism of its member firms, the depth of its services and the breadth of its worldwide coverage. He also noted that Morison has capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region, including China.
