Practice management software developer Commercial Logic said it would no longer market and distribute its Practice Engine software in North America.
CLI added that it would continue to provide full support and service to its Practice Engine customers. However, ongoing sales and marketing of Practice Engine will be handled by its international distributor, IDSI, based in the Cayman Islands.
"My understanding is they [IDSI] are planning to open an office in the U.S. and want to take back the marketing and sales and distribution on that basis," said CLI president Peter Coburn. He speculated that IDSI might resume sales in the U.S. in the spring.
His company has been adding various reports and customization to the software. CLI will also continue to offer service and support.
