Cougar Mountain Software, provider of Denali POS Accounting software, announced a new level of partnership with Merchant Warehouse, provider of payment technologies and merchant account services.
Cougar Mountain Software previously offered customers Merchant Warehouse payment services as a payment processing solution, but this announcement identifies the company as the exclusive provider of payment services for Cougar Mountain Software. Merchant Warehouse’s Genius Customer Engagement has also been fully integrated into Denali POS.
Cougar Mountain’s integration with Genius will help small to medium-sized retailers evolve their payment processes by securing customers’ credit card and payment information and prepare them for the 2015 EMV liability shift.
“The integration of Genius, which is PA-DSS compliant, allows the POS system to be removed from the financial transaction,” stated Dave Haworth, executive vice president at Cougar Mountain. “This reduces the risk of credit card theft or skimming thefts which we understand consumers are concerned about.”
Designed to evolve with the payment landscape, Genius enables users to accept any kind of payment, discount or loyalty program through a single transaction from one customer engagement device, and also includes integrated commerce and marketing features.
