Cougar Mountain Upgrades Professional Line

Cougar Mountain Software has released CMS Professional 2009 for its accounting, fund and point-of-sale software lineup, providing extra inventory, security and customer management features.

The latest version focuses on tasks associated with retail operations, such as inventory control, credit-card security and specialized payroll functions, along with features designed to appeal to CPAs and nonprofit organizations. New features include the ability to attach documents to master records, block charges to past-due customers, include lot numbers for inventory tracking, and print packing slip and picking tickets during order entry.

Users can view a history of credit card authorization attempts, see when an employee has accessed a customer's credit information, and review an account to verify a lost or stolen card.

The software offers the ability to convert statements, invoices, and purchase orders into PDF files and distribute them via e-mail using Data Fabrication's PDFBlaster software. A limited version of PDFBlaster is included with CMS Professional 2009.

Users can also post multiple registers at once, print customer statements by aging period, set up employee garnishments, show multiple pay rates on check stubs, and view customer payoff amounts with one click. For more information, visit www.cougarmtn.com.
