New York (July 18, 2003) -- Big Four firm Deloitte & Touche named company veteran Dorothy L. Alpert to head its Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction practice.
In her new role, Alpert will be responsible for overall strategy and business development of the unit, which services roughly 1,000 clients throughout the U.S. and is comprised, of about 2,500 audit, tax and consulting professionals.
She succeeds Rick Carlson who was elevated to oversee Deloitte’s global Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction unit.
Alpert joined Deloitte’s real estate consulting group in 1987 and was made partner four years ago.
