Staffers were encouraged to make short YouTube-like films on the theme of "What's Your Deloitte?" The firm posted the films on an intranet, where other staff members could rate them.

The festival received more than 370 submissions from various Deloitte offices. Deloitte saw the festival as a way to build loyalty with Gen Y staffers. Deloitte also plans to use the films as part of its campus-recruiting program.

To encourage employees to produce the films, the firm said it would provide the first 250 teams with Panasonic PV-GS320 Mini DV cameras, and then upped the offer to another 100 cameras when it received a groundswell of interest. The equipment eventually will be donated to nonprofit organizations such as FilmAid International and IFP.
