IASA appoints first chair of insurance diversity and inclusion committee

Top 20 Firm Dixon Hughes Goodman has announced that Wesley McLeod, a partner in the firm's insurance practice, has been named the first chairperson of the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association's Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

The new committee looks to foster a more diverse culture within the insurance industry.

“I am honored to serve as the chair of the IASA Diversity and Inclusion Committee," said McLeod in a statement. "I have been in the insurance industry for more than 15 years and recognize there is always an opportunity to continue to improve ourselves and more broadly, open opportunities for future leaders. With the fellow members of the IASA committee, I hope to continue to foster an inclusive culture in the industry and encourage people from all backgrounds to succeed in their careers."

McLeod has previous experience in managing insurance engagements, including financial statement audits and quarterly reviews. McLeod has also advised the likes of Fortune 500 companies on topics including internal controls design, mergers and acquisitions, and financial planning and analysis.
