Political campaign consultant and pundit Ed Rollins reportedly owed over $1.33 million, according to federal and state tax liens and warrants filed this year, although he claims to have paid off much of the debt.
Rollins worked as national campaign director on the 1984 Reagan-Bush campaign and more recently was named national campaign chairman for Mike Huckabees 2007 campaign for the presidency.
According to the
Rollins, however, told the paper that he has worked out a payment schedule with the IRS and has paid a substantial portion of the tax liens.
He also said he has paid off his tax debts to New York State. However, he has disputed the Oklahoma tax warrants, saying he never worked in the state, but only for a company based there.
