The Accounting Hall of Fame Though not, perhaps, as widely known as it should be, Ohio State University's Accounting Hall of Fame was inaugurated in 1950 "for the purpose of honoring accountants who have made or are making significant contributions to the advancement of accounting since the beginning of the twentieth century." The site includes photographs and bios of all the inductees, including the original Arthur Andersen, and Civil War hero and founder of the first accounting program at New York University, Charles Ezra Sprague.AICPA The AICPA's site can sometimes be a little intimidating, but right on the homepage are sections for Students (resources and information on joining the profession and Educators ("programs and services for curriculum enhancement" , as well as a section on the CPA Exam.
