Schafer & Associates P.C., an accounting firm based in Billings, Mont., will become part of Eide Bailly LLP, a regional CPA and business advisory firm, on Dec. 14.
Sole shareholder Matt Schafer and his team at Schafer & Associates will move into Eide Bailly’s current Billings office, strengthening Eide Bailly’s position as the largest accounting firm for businesses in the region.
“Joining Eide Bailly will allow us to focus more on our clients and be a better advocate for them,” said Schafer, who will join Eide Bailly as a partner.
Adding Schafer’s firm will raise the number of Eide Bailly staff in Billings to 72. The firm has a total of 1,600 staff in 27 offices across 12 states. Eide Bailly, based in Fargo, N.D., ranked 20th on Accounting Today’s 2015 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $195.4 million in annual revenue.
