EisnerAmper adds Field & Higgins

The founding partners and staff of the Princeton, N.J.-based CPA firm Field & Higgins have joined New York-based EisnerAmper LLP, effective Jan. 1, 2017.

The deal promises to expand EisnerAmper’s tax services expertise and add a Princeton office to the firm. Field & Higgins co-founders Kenneth Field and John Higgins will join EisnerAmper’s New Jersey practice as managing directors. EisnerAmper plans to retain Field & Higgins’ Princeton location.

Field & Higgins supplies tax and business advisory services to closely held businesses and their owners, along with high net worth individuals and corporate executives from some of New Jersey’s biggest corporations. The firm particularly specializes in servicing real estate industry clients, along with law firms and other professional services organizations.

“Our dedication to hard work and deep tax expertise has created a strong reputation within the business and corporate executive community throughout New Jersey and the region,” Field said in a statement. “We believe this to be a direct result of our talented team and responsiveness to our client’s needs. We see enormous potential for our staff, and, with the additional skills and resources of EisnerAmper, we see limitless opportunities to provide additional value to our clients.”

EisnerAmper ranked 18th on Accounting Today’s 2016 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $284.5 million in annual revenue. Last month, the firm added another CPA firm, Alan Goldberg, expanding its New York City headquarters and its Personal Wealth Advisory practice (see EisnerAmper adds Goldberg CPA firm). Last February, EisnerAmper restructured its executive leadership to better manage expansion in the U.S. and abroad (see EisnerAmper restructures firm). The firm currently has 180 partners and principals and 1,400 professionals.

As part of the restructuring, Jay Weinstein was tapped to lead the expansion of the firm’s markets and segments. “Field & Higgins is one of the highest quality firms in New Jersey and has enjoyed lasting success in providing superior service to their growing roster of clients,” Weinstein said in a statement. “We look forward to adding their skilled team of professionals to EisnerAmper.”
