Ernst & Young Picks TAS Vice Chair for Americas

Ernst & Young has selected a new leader in the Americas for its Transaction Advisory Services team, which advises companies on mergers and acquisitions.

Richard M. Jeanneret, 47, has come onboard with his 25 years of experience in M&A, bankruptcy and restructuring. Most recently, he served as the mid-Atlantic managing partner of the assurance and advisory services practice at E&Y.

In his new role, he will be responsible for the firm’s TAS practice in the Americas, overseeing 1,900 professionals in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, plus Israel. Along with M&A, bankruptcy and restructuring, the team also handles strategic alliances, divestments and equity offerings.

“Our teams have been very nimble in helping companies adjust to the changing economic environment,” said Jeanneret in a statement. “Assessing portfolios and addressing issues such as valuation and business modeling, working capital, transaction integration and restructuring are critical to helping companies achieve their strategic business and transaction goals.”
