Exact Software North America President Resigns

Marion, Ohio (May 23, 2002) - Bruce A. Hollinger has resigned as president of Exact Software North America, 15 months after that enterprise technology company was created when Dutch-based Exact Software NV acquired the company he founded, the former Macola Software.

Exact Software NV's chief operating officer Bert Groenewegen has assumed division leadership responsibilities from Hollinger, who will remain with the company through August as an advisor on the upcoming launch of a new product, Macola ES. Exact Software North America has a nationwide channel of 236 resellers, half of whom are accountants, accounting firms or affiliates of accounting firms.

Hollinger said the merger with Exact enabled the former Macola to develop new products, such as Macola ES. "Stepping down as this division's president enables me to focus completely now on finalizing this initiative," he said.

Since founding Macola in 1982, Hollinger has overseen its growth into one of the software industry's best-known vendors of accounting and business management systems for manufacturers. Prior to Macola, he was a computer applications engineer for Floyd Browne and Associates in Marion, Ohio, where Exact North America is also based.
