FAF Releases Governmental Accounting Research System for Tablet

The Financial Accounting Foundation has released a version of the GASB Governmental Accounting Research System for use on tablet devices.

The new GARS mobile version includes all of the content and most of the features of the full GARS Online site, with a streamlined interface for the tablet.

Containing authoritative, generally accepted accounting principles recognized by the GASB to be applied by state and local governmental entities, GARS Online’s content includes the GASB Codification, Original Pronouncements, and Implementation Guides.

GARS Online subscribers can access the new tablet version through iOS on the iPad and Android-based devices here. The tablet version is available for both professional and basic views.

The FAF announced the availability of the FASB Accounting Standards Codifications in January.
